How we started

  • As a volunteer student tutor, I had seen instances of girl students from underprivileged backgrounds missing school due to their periods. I was deeply affected by the aspect of missing studies due to such a basic reason that forms an integral part of the lives of all girls/ women.

  • I believe that by being silent spectators we cannot make a change, we need to take action. Instilled with passion for doing my bit for the community, I decided to launch a project to reach out to thousands of girls across the country to spread awareness on menstruation, menstrual hygiene management, removing taboos and stigmas associated and motivate them to maintain dignity.

  • The simple agenda is to get all girls and women to wear the "Red Badge of Courage" with dignity.

  • Through this project I also aim to spread information about government run schemes of affordable pads.
